Madang Provincial Government Launches New Machinery Fleet to Boost Rural Road Access

The Madang Provincial Government, under the leadership of Governor Hon. Ramsey Pariwa, today launched a fleet of heavy machinery at Bates Oval in Madang town.

Governor Pariwa said the machines are for the people of Madang and will be deployed across the six districts in the province, with priority given to the least developed districts and areas that produce cocoa, coffee, and copra.

The machinery, which includes a dump truck, bulldozer, grader, and excavator, will support the provincial government’s partnership with the Department of Works to improve road connectivity throughout Madang.

“This is a reason for our people to celebrate as we mark our 50th Anniversary,” Governor Pariwa said. “These machines are just the beginning and more are yet to come.”

He also urged the people of Madang to take ownership and care for the equipment, as it will directly benefit communities by opening up economic opportunities and improving access to essential services.
